Investigation of Oral and Fecal Colonization with Candida Species and Associated Factors in Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Infected Children in Turkey

Abstract Objective The risk of endogenous infections in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected individuals increases with Candida species colonized mouth and intestinal areas. predisposing factors for colonization the prevalence different spp. HIV-infected Turkish children remain unknown. This study aimed to determine frequency oral fecal samples pediatric patients relation a control group. Methods Oral feces 22 52 healthy were plated onto CHROMagar CHROM-Pal-agar.
